India's poverty

We read despite rapid economic growth, economic disparity is increasing in South Asia, according to the annual Millennium Development Goals (MDG) report by the UN.

A massive 30 percent of the population still lives on a dollar a day in the Indian sub-continent.

46 percent of all children in India under the age of three are underweight, even higher in some places .
